Notorious Hactivist "Commander X" Donates Royalties From Upcoming Book To Naija Cyber Hactivists

The Peoples Liberation Front "Commander X", infamous freedom fighter and notorious hactivist announced today that he will donate a portion of his royalties from an upcoming book release to the NCH. Here is the press release issued today by the PLF:

PLF Press Release - Commander X To Donate Book Royalties To Nigeria

Sunday - January 15, 2012 6:00 PM PT

The Peoples Liberation Front is pleased to announce that Commander X has decided to donate 10% of his royalties for his upcoming book entitled "Behind The Mask: An Inside Look At Anonymous" to the Naija Cyber Hactvists of Nigeria.

www.BehindTheMask.tk

"In the interests of transparency lets be perfectly clear, it will be 10% of the royalties I receive and not the gross book revenue. And while there will be no strings attached, I do intend to request that they (NCH) use the initial flow of revenue to set up Hacker Spaces in their major Nigerian cities, and offer free opportunities for hackers across Nigeria to build community, access resources - and teach others, especially the next generation. I hope this will not only help the hacker community thrive, but will allow young Nigerians the opportunity to learn technology skills and interact with the global hactivist community.

I make this gift in the name and honor of Anonymous Operation Nigeria II. And I make it in the memory of the 20 Nigerian martyrs who have given their lives so far, and god forbid anymore that should come as our Op Nigeria progresses. But the REASON I do it is I love my brothers and sisters of the Naija Cyber Hactivists. Through them I have come to see a Nigeria so incredibly beautiful that I am moved to retire there one day. I love you Nigeria. Stay strong, we are with you until total victory is achieved."  -- Commander X

The Peoples Liberation Front is so moved by this gesture from our beloved Commander X that we also wish to make a pledge. The PLF will provide all the computers for these Hacker Spaces in Nigeria mentioned by X above, for free. Furthermore, we call on all people in the world with resources to spare to match these generous donations with pledges of financial and other support of their own.

Anonymous Operation Nigeria II - NCH Wages Cyber War On Nigeria EFCC

Saturday - January 14, 2012  6:00 PM PT

Well it was quite an exciting weekend here at Op Nigeria II. The weekend began with the sort of classic cyber battle that, well - I just love. The contestants in this epic struggle were the Naija Cyber Hactivists versus the Nigeria Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. It began early in the weekend with NCH issuing a demand that this government agency immediately arrest certain Nigerian officials whom they have evidence have been systematically looting the very fuel subsidy funds which sparked the Occupy Nigeria protests. This on the heels of the announcement earlier in the day by the Nigerian government stating their intention to somehow track down NCH and Anonymous Nigeria. The message being: go after the REAL criminals.

NCH issued an ultimatum giving the EFCC 24 hours to arrest the looters of the fuel subsidy fund. Of course they did now, and in a move which caught even the PLF an Anonymous by surprise, NCH defaced the EFCC web site with an extremely realistic looking press release with photos announcing that 21 corrupt Nigerian officials had been arrested for systematically looting the much debated fuel subsidy fund. Many media outlets were initially fooled by this, as NCH announced it to the world through various channels - but played it off as if the announcement were real and the EFCC had in fact relented.

At that point the EFCC issued a press statement (after many hours) indicating they had been hacked and the press release was a phony. They also threatened to track down NCH and the hackers responsible. NCH thought this was lulzy and began tweeting details of this system admin in realtime as he actually attempted to track down the perpetrators of the hacks. Finally the entire affair ended Sunday night as the Naija Cyber Hactivists, still in control of the EFCC web server, turned their front page into a giant realtime chat room and invited all of Occupy Nigeria to come post their comments.

Anonymous Operation Nigeria II - Communique #001

Greetings world. We are Anonymous Nigeria. For the past week we have waged a relentless cyber assault upon the interwebz of the Nigerian government in defense and support of the Occupy Nigeria protests. We have bombarded government communications channels with millions of messages (effectively shutting these down), we have defaced corrupt government agency web sites - and we have attacked the web assets of those companies that threatened retaliation against demonstrators. We have relentlessly documented and disseminated information proving the complete corruption of our leaders. We will stop at nothing to fish out the unscrupulous elements governing our nation. The government must eliminate every form of corruption in high places. We are the voice of the people of Nigeria and for the people of Nigeria, we shall speak. We DEMAND an end to government waste and corruption. We stand with Occupy Nigeria and demand economic justice. And we demand that the large global corporations doing business in our country be made to pay their fair share in building Nigeria's future.

WE DEMAND THAT YOU CUT THE COST OF GOVERNMENT BY 60%

WE DEMAND THAT YOU ELIMINATE WASTE IN GOVERNMENT

WE DEMAND THAT YOU TACKLE CORRUPTION AND POLITICAL PATRONAGE

WE DEMAND THAT YOU REDUCE THE PUMP PRICE OF FUEL TO N65

WE DEMAND THAT YOU FIND OUT AND PROSECUTE MEMBERS OF THE FUEL CABAL

But while all of these protests this past week, both on the ground and in cyber space - have been entirely peaceful, the response from the Nigerian security forces has been violent and deadly. Op Nigeria has confirmed the deaths of no less than ten innocent protesters, with hundreds injured - some quite seriously. Anonymous Nigeria will NOT stand for this, and we demand the Nigerian government immediately halt all use of live ammunition at Occupy Nigeria protests. Anonymous Nigeria demands an end to the killing, brutality - and arrests of peaceful Occupy Nigeria protesters.

We wish our government to know something. We are not only watching everything you do, but we are collecting evidence for the ICC in the Hague. And one day, you WILL be brought to justice for your crimes against us. Together with our allies around the world, Anonymous Nigeria will hold each and every one of you to account for what you have done.

Over the past week since the launch of Operation Nigeria II, the assault upon the government interwebz of Nigeria has been very effective and devastating. We will now take this attack to the next level, we will REMOVE all government web assets from the internet begining at once. We will deface them, DdoS them, jam your communications and steal all your secrets - and leave your interwebz a smoking crater in cyber space. We will show you the same mercy you showed to our dead countryman.....none at all.

WE DEMAND AN IMMEDIATE END TO THE KILLING OF INNOCENT PROTESTERS

We Are Anonymous Nigeria - We Are Everywhere In Nigeria - We Are Legion - We Never Forgive - We Never Forget ......EXPECT US

Peoples Liberation Front - Press Release - Deaths Of Occupy Nigeria Protesters

Peoples Liberation Front - Press Release - Deaths Of Occupy Nigeria Protesters

Monday - January 9, 2012  2:30 PM PT

Regarding Anonymous Operation Nigeria II, and the defense and support of the Occupy Nigeria protesters - Anonymous Nigeria ( www.AnonymousNigeria.tk ) will be releasing a statement sometime Tuesday (tomorrow). In that statement, Anonymous Nigeria will speak with a Nigerian voice for all of Anonymous and the allied groups of Op Nigeria II. They will address in a very visceral way, we are certain - today's deaths of peaceful protesters at the hands of their own security forces. We will keep you posted on our own feeds and let you know as soon as they release that statement. We will stand together, as one unified Operation Nigeria - and Anonymous Nigeria will speak for us and what we will do to those who have committed these horrible crimes.

For now, the PLF wanted to release an update with what little information we have been able to confirm. Our Intel Staff confirms at least 3 dead and nearly 50 injured, some quite seriously. Local hospitals report being inundated with gun shot cases. These numbers will surely grow higher, and we will update the world as we are able to confirm more facts. As you might imagine, things are quite chaotic at the moment in Nigeria. Media has taken to reporting Twitter rumors which then take on a life of their own. Beware of anything more than can be confirmed through facts on the ground.

As we await the coming statement from Anonymous Nigeria, we will continue to gather data on yesterdays events, and we will gather EVIDENCE for the ICC in the Hague as well. We will find a way to publish it all within the next 6 to 10 hours. Visit these web sites for help or updates:

Follow these Twitter feeds for updates from the ground and cyber-space: @Anon_Nigeria  @PLF2012  @NaijaCyberHack @AFreeNigeria @OccupyNigeria

You can also join irc.IranServ.com #OpNigeria to assist in the cyber operation.

To the Nigerian people, know that we the Peoples Liberation Front - stand steadfast with you and will never desert you. To the Nigerian government, you have killed your own people - now you will face justice. Leave now while you still can. WE  ARE  WATCHING  EVERYTHING  YOU  DO.
